At Selfridge Inspection Service, we understand that not every flooring issue requires a full inspection report. That's why we offer flexible consultation services to help clients get the expert insight they need—whether it’s over the phone or in person. Consultations are ideal for those looking to understand the nature of a flooring concern, get a professional second opinion, or receive guidance on next steps. From installation concerns to visible damage, product failure, or general questions about flooring performance, we provide experienced, unbiased input to help you make informed decisions.

Our rate is $100 per hour, which includes driving time for on-site visits. This allows us to provide support that’s both efficient and cost-effective.

NOTE
Consultations do not include a written inspection report. If formal documentation is needed for insurance claims, legal matters, or dispute resolution, a full inspection service is recommended.

Residential Inspection Price List
We provide transparent pricing for all inspections. Residential Inspection fee base rates include a site visit, photographs, and a verbal report of findings and analysis.

• Carpet Inspection: $400


• Hard Surface Inspection - Wood / Ceramic: $450
  Hardwood / Engineered / Laminate / Cork / Bamboo / Ceramic Tile


• Hard Surface Inspection – Other: $425
  Luxury Vinyl Tile & Plank (LVP/LVT) / Rigid Core Tile & Plank (SPC, WPC) / Resilient / Linoleum


• Written Report Additional: $300
  Detailed observations and measurements, photo captions, comparison of site results with product specifications and industry standards, analysis, and diagnosis of the cause of your floor failure.


• Return Visits:$200 + travel
  Time-sensitive tests, end-user no-shows, etc.

Commercial Inspection Fees
Inspection fees vary based on flooring type, square footage, and location.
Contact us with this information, and we will be happy to provide a customized fee.

Reimbursable Expenses
Added to invoice as applicable.

• Mileage: $1 / mile (over 75 miles)
  Other Travel As submitted to client Parking, Tolls, etc.


• Shipping & Handling Cost + $20 handling fee
  "Attic stock", samples, etc.


• Product Testing Lab Submissions Cost + Shipping +$50 handling fee
  At homeowner's request, when manufacturing defects are suspected

NOTE
Payment Terms: Cash or check is due at the time of inspection. We do not accept credit/debit cards or VENMO at this time.
